Harnett schools pack the bus with school supplies

During presentations at the Harnett County Board of Education regular meeting June 30, 2025, First Bank and Trust Company employees shared gratefulness with the board and community.

Bank Manager Marlene Gonzales said First Bank and Trust Company began in Virginia and slowly expanded.

“One of the things that caught the CEO’s attention was Pack the Bus. We are the middleman,” Gonzales said about helping the county prepare students for success in learning.

Bank employee Lindsey Matthews is a Harnett school graduate.

“She is giving back to the community,” Board Member Sharon M. Gainey said about Matthews helping with Pack the Bus.
