Moore: Caroline Krom sells Kokedamas at Carthage pop-up market

Whispering Pines botanist Caroline Krom offered a variety of Kokedamas, plants in a moss ball, at the June 28,2025, Carthage Pop Up in the Pines. The art form has its roots in Japan where the Kokedama is a combination of the bonsai and Kusamono planting styles.

Krom works at Sandhills Community College Culinary Gardens and The Garden Center by AOS as the horticulture specialist.
