Moore: 2025 Municipal Election filing opens July 7

Moore County’s 2025 municipal elections for 34 nonpartisan mayoral and council or commissioner seats are on Nov. 4, covering several towns.

Candidates begin filing for open seats in towns across the county on July 7.

Aberdeen voters will elect a mayor and two commissioners. Cameron residents will choose a mayor, two commissioners, and one more to complete an unfinished term. Carthage has three open commissioner positions, and Foxfire Village will fill three council seats.

Pinebluff voters will choose a mayor and two commissioners. Pinehurst is electing two council members. Robbins has three commissioner seats open, and Southern Pines has two council seats up for election.

Taylortown will elect five council members; Vass, a mayor and two commissioners; Whispering Pines, three council members.
