Lee County Library celebrates library card sign-up month

LEE COUNTY LIBRARIES CELEBRATES LIBRARY CARD SIGN-UP MONTH

Lee County Libraries is proud to join libraries nationwide in celebrating Library Card Sign-Up Month and invites the community to enjoy the festivities all September long.

This year’s theme, “One Card, Endless Possibilities,” is a reminder that libraries are for everyone, no matter age, background, or interests. From free programs and job resources to homework help, digital media, and seasonal events, today’s libraries connect communities to information, inspiration, and each other.

Lee County Libraries offers:

• An expansive materials collection, eBooks, free public computers, WiFi, and outreach services,
• The Library of Things with kits and equipment to encourage discovery and exploration, and
• Programs and events for all ages — including story times, STEAM programs, job search support and tech help.

Join Lee County Libraries for Library Card Sign-Up Month activities, including:

• LCL Guided Walking Tour of Historic Downtown Sanford – Saturday, September 13th at 10:50 AM – Meet at the Library’s outreach tent at the Sanford Farmer’s Market. The tour leaves promptly at 11 AM.
• LCL Inbe-TWEEN-ers (just for ages 10-13) – Main Library Auditorium, September 15 from 4:30-5:30 PM – This new drop-off program gives tweens a chance to connect, create, and have fun. Registration is not required.
• LCL Life-Sized Game Night: Battleship – Main Library, September 29 at 5:30 PM – Registration

is not required and participation is available for all ages.
