Sanford 2026 Quilting and Fiber Art Show draws 1,100 visitors, debuts workshops and awards BERNINA Grand Prizes!

Sanford’s 2026 two-day Quilting and Fiber Art Show held classes and workshops for the first time and saw plenty of participation.

Carolyn Florence from Raleigh won the grand prize for Jan. 9th, a BERNINA L460 serger!

The Dennis Wicker Civic Center saw a continuous flow of visitors, estimated at 1,100.

Booths held rich designs with raffles for intricate quilts. Other booths offered fabric designs to fill the imagination, and hundreds of gadgets and colorful threads and long-arm sewing machines and hand-dyed yarn and unique quilted purses and aprons.

Eye candy filled every corner and wall and tabletop while shoppers filled the aisles and their bags. It was a successful show in every respect.
