Moore County Transportation Services (MCTS) offers a token-based transportation program for Moore County residents.
MCTS provides two types of service: demand response and subscription.
Demand response is for one-time trips scheduled for a specific date, time, and location, such as a doctor’s appointment.
In-county demand response trips must be scheduled for appointments between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Out-of-county demand response trips are limited to medical appointments only and must be scheduled between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. For these trips, MCTS vehicles must leave the out-of-county destination by 3 p.m.
Subscription service is available for riders who need regular, recurring transportation, such as daily trips to work from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Registration can be completed through the ROAP application or by calling 910-947-3389 and selecting Option 0 to speak with a member of the transportation staff.
Riders pay for trips using tokens, with one token required per ride. A round trip requires two tokens. In-county trips cost $4 per token. Out-of-county trips cost $7 per token for Biscoe, Fayetteville, Raeford, Sanford, and Troy, and $10 per token for Chapel Hill, Durham, and Raleigh.
