Allegations of Lee County Chairman breaking disclosure rules “ring” after 4:24 a.m. text on $5B Project
April 4, 2026

Emergency Management personnel have been monitoring this weekend’s weather since first predicted. Throughout the week we have met with our state and local response partners and made preparations for the expected winter weather. The Emergency Operations Center is currently in a monitoring poster; its status and staffing will adjust as dictated by the storm’s impacts.
At this time, we do not intend to open a pre-event shelter. However, all equipment and supplies have been pre-staged, and personnel notified for a potential opening. In the event a shelter is required, SanLee Middle School serves as Lee County’s primary shelter location.
