Job seekers welcomed to CCCC’s National Manufacturing Day

Central Carolina Community College invites job seekers to attend the annual National Manufacturing Day celebration on Oct. 2 at the E. Eugene Moore Manufacturing and Biotech Solutions Center in Sanford. 

This year the event will feature a community job fair from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Jobseekers should bring their resumes for an opportunity to connect with employers from Chatham, Harnett, and Lee counties.

Earlier in the day, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., CCCC will welcome 8th-12th grade students and their teachers for an opportunity to explore careers and connect with regional employers and educational partners. 

The event is designed to let attendees set their own pace and flow through a diverse lineup of exhibitors, connecting directly with local manufacturers and discovering incredible educational programs that train our community for high-tech manufacturing and manufacturing-adjacent careers. 

More than 700 visitors attended last year’s gathering, which featured more than 40 booths showcasing manufacturing employers, CCCC educational programs, and workforce partners.
