SOUTHERN PINES, NC— Jonathon Lewis, Director of Membership Development for the Moore County Chamber of Commerce, recently represented the Chamber as a featured speaker at the North Carolina Native American Youth Organization (NCNAYO) event held at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (UNCW).
The event gathered Native youth leaders from tribal communities across North Carolina for a weekend focused on education, empowerment, and cultural celebration. Lewis delivered an inspiring message on entrepreneurship, leadership, and the power of building businesses that align with both personal purpose and community needs.
“It was truly an honor to represent the Moore County Chamber and speak at NCNAYO’s event at UNCW,” said Lewis. “These young leaders are rooted in tradition and driven by vision. I hope my message encouraged them to view entrepreneurship as a powerful tool for both personal freedom and positive community impact.”
Drawing from his own experiences as an entrepreneur and Chamber professional, Lewis shared practical insights and introduced attendees to a range of statewide resources, including grants, mentorship programs to Chamber connections and business development tools available throughout North Carolina that can support their future endeavors.
The Moore County Chamber of Commerce proudly supports initiatives like NCNAYO that invest in inclusive leadership and inspire the next generation to pursue bold, purpose-driven futures.
