Lee: Sanford honors hometown hero Tim Hall

On June 5, Sanford Parks and Grounds Supervisor Tim Hall responded to an unresponsive woman on her back in front of the Temple Theater and saved her life.

On July 1, the City of Sanford honored him with a commendation for his heroism.

Hall will have worked for the City of Sanford for six years in Aug.

His wife, Beth Hall, is the manager of the Lee County Animal Shelter.

Their daughter, Annabell, is a rising seventh grader.

Tim Hall said it was a regular workday when he saw the woman on her back in the pouring rain and that he had just helped others because of the flooding.

“I called 911 and saw her take a breath. I kept her on her side,” Hall said about waiting with her while emergency services arrived.

He attributes his heroism to CPR and first aid training and recommended the training for all citizens.
