Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation awards grant to Central Carolina Community College Foundation

The Central Carolina Community College Foundation has received $5,000 from the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation to help nourish neighbors experiencing hunger. The Nourishing our Neighbors grant supports community feeding partners by helping neighbors increase their access to nutritious food and providing nutrition education to eliminate health risks for those experiencing food insecurity.

The CCCC Foundation is using the grant to help restock the Ruby McSwain Cougar Markets this winter. These are free food pantries for currently enrolled CCCC students, located on CCCC’s Chatham, Harnett, and Lee campuses.
