Members of the community who wish to help others while building a meaningful career can do so with the North Carolina Peer Support Specialist Course offered at Sandhills Community College. The program is a transformative training designed for individuals with lived experience who are ready to support others on their wellness journey.
A Peer Support Specialist is someone who uses personal experience with recovery to guide, encourage, and empower others facing similar challenges. This role is rooted in empathy, lived experience, and a strong desire to make a difference.
