Sanford adopts data center rules for UDO
April 21, 2026

The Sanford/Lee County Planning Department is hosting a pop-up booth at the Sanford
Farmers’ Market on Saturday, July 12, for the community to learn more about the Safe
Streets for All Safety Action Plan and share feedback to help improve road safety.
Residents can drop by the pop-up booth any time between 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. at
the market, located in the Chatham Street Parking Lot in downtown Sanford. Staff will be
on-site to answer questions and assist with the survey.
The Safety Action Plan is a joint effort by Lee County, the City of Sanford, the Town of
Broadway, and the Central Pines Regional Council to reduce traffic-related fatalities and
serious injuries across the region.
