The City of Sanford is closing Enterprise Park Drive for full rehabilitation starting Monday, October 27.
Built in 2002 as Clyde Rhyne Drive, “Enterprise Park Drive has reached its original service life,” says Jason Bertoncino, Director of Engineering for the City of Sanford. “Rebuilding the road is necessary to provide the level of service required by a thriving and active industrial park.”
The rehabilitation project has been awarded to Fred Smith Company. The work will be completed according to a phasing plan designed to minimize inconvenience. Currently, the project schedule is:
A detour will be in place for Phases 1 and 2 of the project. While direct access to businesses and industries in the affected area will remain open, through-traffic will not be permitted.
“We request that traffic follow the posted detour route to minimize disruptions in construction, traffic in the construction zone, and inconvenience to drivers,” says Bertoncino.
The scheduled phases and dates are subject to change based on weather and other unanticipated delays.

For questions about the project, contact Bertoncino at 919-777-1155. Once construction begins, questions or concerns should be directed to Deyna Ackeman with Fred Smith Company at 919-634-1467.
