Moore County Schools announce principal and HR appointments

Bridget Johnson Appointed as Principal of Aberdeen Elementary School

Dr. Bridget Johnson has been named Principal of Aberdeen Elementary School. She currently serves as Assistant Director for Student Support Services for Moore County Schools, where she supports districtwide initiatives and services designed to strengthen student support systems, promote student success, and support schools across the district.

Matthew Glendenning Appointed as Principal of Cameron Elementary School

Matthew Glendenning has been named Principal of Cameron Elementary School. He currently serves as Assistant Principal at Southern Middle School, where he supports daily school operations, serves as School Testing Coordinator, collaborates with the School Improvement Team to design and implement the School Improvement Plan, manages Title I and Restart budgets, and develops schedules and professional learning plans for students and staff.

Shaun Krencicki Appointed as Principal of North Moore High School

Shaun Krencicki has been named Principal of North Moore High School. He currently serves as Principal of Aberdeen Elementary School, where he has supported school improvement alignment and K-8 continuity through a strong professional partnership with Southern Middle School. Through that partnership, school administrators have maintained regular communication and collaboration while continuing to focus on school culture, instructional systems, and student success.

Molly Capps Appointed as Principal of Union Pines High School

Dr. Molly Capps has been named Principal of Union Pines High School. She currently serves as Director for Student Support Services for Moore County Schools, where she provides direction, support, and leadership for the department that supports counselors, psychologists, social workers, nurses, athletic directors, and school resource officers across the district.

Carla Neal Appointed as Director for Student Support Services

Dr. Carla Neal has been named Director for Student Support Services. She currently serves as Principal of Bennett School in Chatham County Schools, where she has led schoolwide instructional improvement initiatives focused on student growth and achievement. Under her leadership, Bennett School earned a B on the most recent North Carolina School Report Card, exceeded growth, and was named a PTEC Signature School after she facilitated a districtwide virtual academy for Chatham County Schools.

Andy McCormick Appointed as Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources

Andy McCormick has been named Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources. He currently serves as Principal of Union Pines High School, where he has led the school since 2015. During his tenure, Union Pines High School has maintained a B performance grade in nine of the past 10 years, averaged a 92 percent graduation rate, averaged an 82 percent university, college, or trade school acceptance rate, and averaged more than $7.5 million in scholarships each year.
